One of China’s priorities in recent years is the One Belt, One Road Initiative project, also mentioned as “modern Silk Road” in some sources. The project envisages increasing cooperation with the countries along the old Silk Road, especially in trade and education.
As a part of this project, much more international students are provided scholarships than ever before. There are even some scholarships only for students from countries that support this project.
The majority of the students who get scholarships from the Chinese government study Chinese language in China. The scope of the scholarships varies from university to university. Some scholarships only provide a certain amount of discount on tuition fees, while others provide completely free education. There are even scholarships that cover dormitory fees, or even provide a monthly allowance. Therefore, before applying for a scholarship, it is necessary to learn details of the coverage of the scholarship well.
In this article, you will see the universities that will start education in August or September 2024 and will cover the entire 1-year Chinese language tuition fee as part of the scholarship. In other words, you can apply for any of the scholarship programs in this article simply by paying only the scholarship application fee. In case your application will be approved, you will be able to study Chinese language in China for 1 year without paying tuition fee. Kindly note that the deadline for scholarship applications is the 31st of March.
